Cutting Capacity
The wood chipper is capable of cutting 8" diameter brush. The large shoot opening is ideal for feeding
brush with branches through and prevents the extra work of 鈥渄e-branching鈥?your brush.
High Resistance Blades
The TM-8 PTO wood chipper utilizes two Cr12 hardened steel knives. The Cr12 blade is a high wear
resistant cold working die steel. Cr12 steel (US standard - "D3") is a high-carbon high-chromium tool
steel featuring high harden ability, minimal quenching deformation, high hardness and excellent wear
resistance properties.Extremely durable and a snap to replace with the quick access panel on the both
sides of the chipper housing. 4 bolts fasten the blades to the 200lb flywheel.
Why only two blades on our chipper? - We are able to utilize a two blade design over a four blade
design because we gear the flywheel speed up to 1200 RPM. The higher RPM increases air flow in the
chipper housing and helps chips exit quickly (less clogging). It also ensures we take smaller chips off the
branch with each pass (less load on your tractor). Many four blade chippers only spin at 540 RPM.
Less blades = less cost and maintenance!
Industrial Bearings
The 2鈥?diameter main shaft runs from the flywheel, through the housing and is supported by two
flange bearings and one pillow block bearing. All bearings have grease nipples to increase longevity.
Auto Feed
The TM-8 comes equipped with a mechanical drive automatic feed system. The single in-feed roller
pulls the brush intothe chipper allowing for a much more efficient chipping |
